India May Not Be The World’s Most Dangerous Place For Women BUT…

Thomsons Reuters published the results of its poll for the world’s most dangerous places for women. India topped the list. It raised eyebrows because the poll not based on any data but the perception of the experts. But how good are our perceptions?

I came across the ‘Perils Of Perception’ survey conducted by Ipsos MORI. It tries to find how accurately do our perceptions correspond to the actual data. Well, turns out we are laughably bad when it comes to knowing the truth in key world issues. And, guess which country was the worst at it — INDIA.

So, the good news is India may not be the most dangerous place for women in the world. The bad news is we may be the most dangerous place for facts in the world.
